In session with Megan you you'll experience an invigorating and innovative approach to therapy, one that is conversational, fun, and empowering. She'll offer you a firm yet nurturing approach that will hold you accountable and motivate you to take control of your healing. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but most importantly you'll grow.
While working with Megan, her clients overcome a variety of issues—from past to present—that affect their day-to-day life. She specializes in minority mental health, helping clients explore issues dealing with racial, ethnic, gender, and/or sexual identities.
Megan uses evidence-based tools, such as active listening, motivational interviewing, and skills-based therapy to assist clients in taking charge of their own therapy. She also often uses cognitive reframing to assist in changing thinking patterns that may be rooted in past experiences. Modalities Megan draws from include DBT, CBT, and trauma-focused CBT.
With a Master's degree in Forensic Psychology, Megan has worked in juvenile corrections, the Denver Charter school system, psychiatric hospitals, and private practice.
