Dr. Nancy Aeren Grau is a Psychologist in Nevada who has been practicing since 2000. She has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Counseling Psychology from New Mexico State University and a Master of Arts in Psychology from New York University. Dr. Grau’s clients tell her that she is kind, compassionate, and supportive – but that she can be direct when needed. Dr. Grau is 100% present to support you, and understands the importance of a strong, safe relationship with your therapist. Dr. Grau offers traditional psychodynamic psychological psychotherapy, cognitive psychotherapy, emotion-focused therapy, and some integrative practices such as meditation and visualization in overcoming and coping with mental health issues. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, domestic violence attachment/bonding/relationship issues; domestic violence, addictions, and gender/sexuality issues. Dr. Grau believes that healing is a collaborative, multi-faceted process that involves self-awareness and growth, a positive therapeutic relationship, and exploring new behaviors. In her free time, Dr. Grau enjoys being in nature, hiking/outdoors activities, yoga (was a certified instructor in 2018), live music, singing, playing guitar, people and being an art appreciator.
