Therapy can be an intimidating undertaking. Rachael's goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental, and welcoming space for you to explore areas of your life that you would like to address. Rachael brings a holistic approach to her therapy and works with you to explore your background, environment, patterns of behavior, core beliefs, and experiences that have impacted you in both positive and negative ways. Together you can examine your interpersonal relationships, identify your strengths, and find solutions to everyday difficulties. It is her hope that through therapy you will have a restored sense of self that helps you to achieve your personal goals and manage life stressors. Rachael received her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of North Texas and her Master of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. She has worked in Colorado since completing her education and has three years of experience in the field. She has worked as an inpatient psychiatric social worker, facilitating therapy groups and performing crisis intervention which later led her to work in an intensive outpatient treatment program where she continued to lead groups for high risk populations and facilitate individual therapy. She has experience leading intensive outpatient group therapy using cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy. Rachael is passionate about providing quality therapy to adults (18 and older) and enjoys working with a wide range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, and trauma. Outside of work she enjoys spending most of her time in the outdoors including skiing, hiking, backpacking, and climbing.
