Sarah understands it takes courage to seek help and work on improving your life. Her priority is to provide a safe, compassionate space for you to explore the issues you’re struggling with. She engages in active listening, and has a warm, empathic presence to ensure you feel supported and heard. Sarah uses an individualized approach to meet you wherever you’re at and work at a pace that’s right for you. She believes everyone already possesses a wealth of knowledge, and her goal is to help you draw on your strengths and deepen your understanding to gain new insights and to heal. Sarah uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and meditation to treat issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and OCD. Sarah received a Master of Arts in Social Work from the University of Chicago and has over six years of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds on a wide range of issues. Prior to becoming a therapist, she worked in the fields of child welfare, juvenile justice, domestic violence, and community mental health. Sarah is currently completing a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing at Colorado State University, as she’s interested in writing as a healing art.
