About Sarah Van Norden, MS, LPCC

You’ll be met where you’re at in a comfortable environment when you meet with Sarah. You’ll be heard as you share your story. You’ll experience empathy and compassion as you and Sarah become collaborators in your care. If you enjoy a dry sense of humor, Sarah will use hers in discussions that you have. You’ll be offered gentle challenges and support to help you grow.

Working together with Sarah, her clients can overcome emotional struggles and learn how to cope with challenges like depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, and mood and psychotic disorders. She can provide support and skills to help clients learn how to set and enforce boundaries, and to communicate effectively with others.

Sarah approaches therapy from a person-centered approach and listens to each client's story to understand and provide support. She also likes to pull in techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy, existential therapy, and psychoeducation. Sarah also frequently offers her clients alternative viewpoints and nudges them toward the change they want to achieve, but ultimately lets them set the pace they want to work.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.
