ShaLacey will welcome you into a space where you'll feel safe, supported, and understood. She'll meet you where you're at without judgement, and invite you into a therapeutic relationship based on trust and openness. She'll guide you into creating a healthier version of yourself.
ShaLacey encourages her clients to identify the underlying causes of unhealthy emotional and behavioral cycles, and then helps them to address how the identified issues affect their daily lives. This process can include challenging negative thought patterns, processing traumatic events, and increasing self-awareness.
Using a variety of tools such as active listening and modeling healthy communication, ShaLacey helps clients overcome issues related to trauma, comorbid diagnoses, mood disorders, reactive attachment, psychosis, grief and loss, self-harm, suicidal ideations, behavioral concerns, parent-child interactions, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and LGBT+ issues. She also draws from modalities like EMDR, CBT, reality-based therapy and solution-focused brief therapy.
With a Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Louisiana Tech University, ShaLacey has worked in a psychiatric residential treatment facility for adolescents, as well as in private practice.
