Shannon knows you have a unique story and that like everyone, you need to tell it to someone you trust. She wants to be your trusted sounding board. Someone who helps you to navigate the significantly challenging times of life and even the times that feel unbearable. In session with her you’ll experience Shannon’s calm and genuinely caring demeanor. You can expect to be heard and validated.
The challenges Shannon’s clients can include anxiety and panic, depression, a difficult relationship, or a transition between roles. She helps her clients develop practical skills through mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. She utilizes a combination of CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.
Shannon’s experience comes from several years of community case management, crisis stabilization in inpatient and outpatient settings, and medical social work in an emergency department and outpatient clinic. With a Master’s degree in Social Work, Shannon enjoys working with teens, parents, mothers who are juggling it all, and people across their entire lifespan.
