Sheryl Schwartz is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado who has been practicing since 2005. She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology in 1993 at Colorado State University Pueblo and worked with at risk youth till she returned to school and obtained her Master of Counseling at Adams State University in 2005. Sheryl spent the next 10 years working in Residential Treatment with youth and their families where she helped developed a Native American program and sexual trafficked youth program. Later she worked with adults who were inpatient with significant mental health illnesses and/or substance use and supported their transition into the community. Asking for help is a courageous step in overcoming past and present struggles. You are truly the expert on your life, and Sheryl will provide a safe place to guide you on your path of recovery. Sheryl has experience working with teens, families, and individual in outpatient and inpatient settings. She works with varying levels and types of mental health needs. Sheryl specialized with complex trauma disorders, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, sleep, and behavioral. She enjoys supporting young adults in individual and group settings around commonly shared struggles such as body image, assertiveness, social anxiety, relationships, sexuality, identity, and more. She utilizes different techniques from dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based, solution focused, and Internal Family Systems in supporting clients. Sheryl is grateful she can continue to support clients on their path to wellness and looks forward to supporting you on your journey. Sheryl has quite a few interests, such as art through painting, photography, and music. She loves to spend time with her family and pets and enjoys cooking and health and fitness.
