When working with Tessa, you’ll feel heard, cared for, and supported as she welcomes you into a therapeutic space that is warm, empathetic and accepting. Tessa will help you define your goals and then assist you in reaching them, perhaps weaving in a bit of humor along the way, as she values that in overcoming some of life’s challenges. Whether you are navigating new life changes or looking for support around some existing challenges, together you’ll get to the root of the problem and work to address it. People wanting to work on anxiety, depression, sex and relationship issues, peri- or postpartum stressors, or chronic illness will find care and support in sessions with Tessa. She uses a combination of techniques that’s best for each client, such as active listening, mindfulness, and empowerment. She subscribes to a variety of modalities, and commonly uses CBT, psychodynamic, trauma-informed, person-centered, and feminist based therapies. With Master’s degrees in Social Work and Human Sexuality Education, Tessa has worked in case management, community mental health, and tele-counseling private practice. She’s pursuing a doctorate in Human Sexuality Studies.
