When you meet with Vanessa you’ll meet with a therapist with whom you can openly share your story. You’ll be made aware of your strengths and how you’ve come up with creative solutions to incredibly difficult situations. You’ll learn new tools to add to your toolbox that will help you let go of the past and live peacefully in the present.
Vanessa’s clients can overcome symptoms of anxiety, depression, disordered eating, and much more. They focus on nonjudgmental listening, compassion, and empathy, and draws from Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Exposure Therapy to help clients to recover from their painful histories and build happy lives.
With a Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, and training in rehabilitation counseling and behavioral addictions, Vanessa has worked with clients with dual diagnoses of PTSD, borderline personality disorder, and autism spectrum disorder and at least one substance use disorder of high severity. Before becoming a therapist, Vanessa was a teacher, an interpreter/transliterator for d/Deaf students, and a coach for adults with intellectual disabilities. They communicate fluently in Cued Speech and American Sign Language.
