Wendy’s goal is to help her clients successfully navigate through their adversities in a way that feels supportive, empowering, and nurturing. In session with Wendy, you will experience her kind and empathetic demeanor as well as appropriate doses of humor or directness.
Wendy understands the value of building a strong therapeutic rapport and in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings. She uses a strengths-based approach and believes that with compassionate guidance, people have it within themselves to move through what is standing in their way. Wendy feels that everyone deserves the chance to have the peace and happiness they truly desire; sometimes they just need a little help to get there.
Wendy uses modalities including eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, and relationally focused integrative therapies. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work and over 20 years of experience working in the field. Prior to that, she worked in healthcare administration.
