He enjoys working with youth and adults struggling with a wide variety of issues including depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger, mood swings, impulsivity, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), cognitive deficits, schizophrenia, bipolar, and pediatric concerns. Robert doesn’t believe that any one theoretical approach to care is superior to another, so utilizes the modality best suited to each patient. Tools like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, interpersonal, active listening, existential techniques, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), grounding, and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) can be tailored to meet individual needs.
Most of Robert’s experience has been in youth correctional/forensic settings. With an Advanced Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree, he’s excited to work join the Heart-Centered Counseling team.
