When working with Roxann, you’ll be treated with respect, dignity, non-judgment, and acceptance. Roxann understands that it can feel overwhelming to come to therapy and address difficult emotions with vulnerability. She’ll be gentle and sensitive, while at the same time supporting you in stretching your “emotional muscles” to help you achieve your goals.
Roxann believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to help you heal. She’ll start by connecting with you and understanding your worldview. She’ll inquire into the unique strengths and talents that are yours alone and she’ll help you develop your strengths so that they become personal resources that increase your self-confidence, self-discovery, and personal growth.
Roxann works with adult clients on a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, loss, and conflict in relationships. She utilizes approaches from multiple counseling theories, including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, and solution-focused therapies. Roxann is currently completing her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University.
