When you step into session with Shannon, you’ll feel safe, comfortable and at ease by her calm presence and strong empathic nature. You’ll also feel her confidence in the ability to face life’s obstacles together.
If you’ve ever experienced or are currently experiencing depression, anxious thoughts or feelings, a poor relationship with your body or food, problems with communication or trust in relationships, grief, or emotions attached to a new diagnosis or major life event, you’ll find relief working with Shannon. She’ll be a strong player on your team as you overcome life’s challenges.
Shannon will use a wide range of tools to help you reach your ultimate goals, including humor, music, and creative goal setting techniques, as well as meditation and deep processing. One of the modalities that Shannon works from most is Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), which is present and future focused.
While completing her Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Tech University, Shannon helped families, couples, and individuals aged 10 to 92 years old at the university’s community clinic, and struggling adolescents involved with the local juvenile justice center. It’s the latter she realized was her calling as she’s passionate about helping teens find the proper tools to face struggles in all areas of life including school, peers, family, and self-image.
