She has experience with couples, individuals and adolescents on a wide variety of issues, such as depression and anxiety. Sue and her husband adopted a child at birth, so she has a deep understanding of infertility and adoption. In 2006, her husband suffered a traumatic brain injury, again giving her a unique perspective of the dynamics of brain injury. She also works with trauma survivors using Brainspotting and Memory Re-consolidation.
For Sue, becoming a counselor was a mid-life career change. She found that people instinctively trusted her and felt comfortable with her, so she earned a Master’s degree in Social Work and has worked as a therapist ever since.
Sue is guided by her spirituality, and takes her love of singing and nature with her always.
